Framingham State College 150th Celebration Tree

Please stop by the Curriculum Library, located on the upper mezzanine of the Whittemore Library, to see the Framingham State College 150th Celebration Tree.  The decorations represent academic departments, courses taught, and alumni.  The Tree will remain on display until the gala dinner on December 13th.

On the tree, look for the following ornaments:  diploma (representing the first printed diploma issued in 1850 from The Normal School); old school desk (representing the classrooms of yesteryear); Challenger replica and patches (representing Christa Corrigan McAuliffe, a 1970 graduate and the first teacher in space); chocolate chip cookie (representing Ruth Wakefield, a 1924 graduate and creator of the Toll House Cookie); globe (representing our students); stack of blocks (representing early childhood and elementary education courses); plus many more.
