2005 Cross Country Season Review

Second year head coach Jason Hewitt led the Framingham State Men’s and Women’s Cross Country teams to an exciting season.  The women opened the season with a 4th place finish at the Massachusetts Maritime Invitational while the men’s team fielded four runners in a race for the first time in nine years.  At the Pop Crowell Invitational, Dominique Bourdon (Westfield, MA), Lauren Arsenault (Milford, MA), and Jillian Pelletier (Beverly, MA) all ran personal bests for the women’s team while Andrew Arruda (Stoughton, MA), Kevin Sylvia (Norwood, MA), and Brian Avery (Webster, MA) ran personal bests for the men.  Bourdon went on to earn All-MASCAC honors at the MASCAC Championship Meet where she finished in 9th place and led the team to a 6th place finish overall. With the majority of the team returning, Hewitt hopes to improve on this season’s success next fall.
