2002 Football Wrap-Up

Mark Sullivan's first year as head coach of the Rams did not go quite as planned in his first season finishing at 1-8.  This year the offense was led the entire season by Luke Callahan of Framingham, who missed  most of 2001 with injury.  Callahan broke three all-time records this past year for Framingham Sate College, most pass attempts, most pass completions, and most yards gained in a career.  Callahan is scheduled to graduate in May of this year.  The defense was led by junior Eric Guilmette of Fall River.  Guilmette got hurt in the seventh game of the season and was still named to the New England Football Conference Honorable Mention team.  Guilmette led the team with 67 total tackles, 47 of which were unassisted.  Senior Rich Joslin of Woburn was named to the New England Football Conference Second Team for his job as a punter for the Rams this season.
Sullivan is looking to capitalize on the fact that he is only losing six players this season and most of the squad is coming back to suit up again next season.  Sullivan and his coaching staff have been busy recruiting all year and are looking to bring in some new freshman to help change Framingham State College Football back into a winning program.
