2004 Volleyball Season Review

Led by seniors Stephanie Poitras (Bellingham, MA), Michelle Bento (Medfield, MA) and Allyson Silva (Taunton, MA) the Framingham State College volleyball team finished the season with 15 wins and a fourth consecutive trip to the MASCAC Tournament.  Setter Stephanie Poitras was named First Team All-MASCAC and led the team in assists, while junior libero Tara Costa (Fairhaven, MA) was named to Second Team All-MASCAC as well as Third Team Academic All-American and was second on the team in digs.  Freshman Elizabeth Pedro (Brockton, MA) had a strong rookie season leading the team in kills and digs.  Juniors Christine Iannalfo (Methuen, MA) also had a solid season and was second on the team in kills behind Pedro and led the team in blocks.  The Rams will miss their three seniors, but the future looks bright with the trio of Pedro, Iannalfo and Costa returning
