2004 Women's Soccer Season Review

After a tough 1-8 start in the month of September, first year head coach Krista Fulton led the Framingham State Women’s soccer team into conference play where they have not lost a regular season game since 1999 and this season was no different. The Lady Rams went 4-0-2 in the MASCAC, capturing their fifth straight regular season conference title while only allowing two goals in conference play to finish the year 7-9-2 overall.  Fulton was selected MASCAC Coach of the Year and Junior forward Daniela Ferrara (Billerica, MA) was selected MASCAC Player of the Year.  Ferrara led the team in scoring with 5 goals and 4 assists and was also selected First Team All-MASCAC.  Joining Ferrara on the first team were senior Kathy Lameiras (Dedham, MA), who finished an outstanding career with 6 goals and 1 assists this year.  Senior Jill Gendron (Feeding Hills, MA), who controlled the midfield all season, and junior Amy Bergstrom (Northboro, MA), who was the anchor of the Rams defense, both made First Team All-MASCAC.  In addition Kathy Lameiras played in the NEWISA All-Star game that was played at Framingham State College.
