Women's Soccer Wrap-Up

 

     The Rams once again won the regular season in MASCAC Conference play, but lost it's first MASCAC game in four seasons when they faltered to the hands of Bridgewater State College in the finals of the MASCAC tournament.  The Rams qualified for the ECAC tournament and made it to the semifinals before falling to Gordon College 3-2 in overtime.  The Rams were led by junior Jen Volo of Mansfield.  Volo scored a team high twelve goals and a team high 7 assists for 31 total points.  Volo was voted to the All MASCAC first team for her efforts this season.  Joining Volo on the All MASCAC first team were Lisa Diamond of Marlboro and Kerri Pelletier of Wellesley.  On the All MASCAC second team were Kathy Lameiras of Dedham, Rebekah Huff of North Dartmouth, and Jill Gendron of Feeding Hills.  Christina Sullivan of Natick also had a solid rookie season playing goalie, going 12-5 with a 1.46 goals agains average, 3 shutouts, and 113 saves.  This season does mark the end of careers for seniors Katie Hartin, Kerri Pelletier, Melisa Yarckin and Kristen Yetman who will all be missed next season.  Overall the Rams are looking to improve on this years 13-6 record and return to the NCAA tournament once again.
