Emergency warning codes. Alerting College staff
in the event of an emergency situation.
Code Red: Evacuate Building.
This code indicates a situation exists calling for an orderly evacuation
of a College building. Take the closest and safest way out. Each interior
door is to be closed after the room has been checked and found to be clear.
Faculty & Staff are to keep their classes intact in a predetermined safe
area and wait for further instructions. Meanwhile Faculty & Staff will check
for injuries, take attendance, and report anyone missing to Campus Police.
Code Blue: Reverse Evacuation or Lockdown.
This code indicates a very serious or dangerous situation exists. Move students
/ staff inside as quickly as possible. All Faculty & Staff Members are to
secure their classrooms and take attendance. All equipment is to be turned
off. All doors are to be locked. Students are instructed to stay away from
windows and doors and to sit quietly on the floor until further instructions
are received.
Code Green: Indicates the universal
all clear signal. Normal classroom activity may resume.
