Services Available

Student Health Services at Framingham State College provides free, confidential care to all students.  The student health fee covers the cost of visit.  Costs incurred for medications, x-rays, lab work and referrals are the responsibility of the student and are often covered by insurance.  We functions primarily as a walk-in clinic although we do have appointments for gynecological and physical exams.      

FSC Health Services offers the students the following services:

• Diagnosis and treatment of acute illness and injuries

• Unlimited visits for health concerns/illnesses

• Immunizations for a small fee and TB testing

• Referrals to specialists as needed

• Women’s health care

  • Pelvic exams and Pap Smears

  • Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) screening, counseling and treatment

  • Pregnancy testing, counseling and referral

  • Birth control counseling and prescription

  • Emergency contraception (morning after pill)

• Men’s health care

• Prescriptions (antibiotics, inhaler, etc.)

• Lab work (blood work, urinalysis, throat cultures)

• Nutritional counseling

• Health education

• Items to loan – i.e. crutches

• Free condoms
