Record Numbers at Reunion

This was a record year for Reunion at Framingham State College. Over 400 alumni, faculty, staff and friends of the College gathered to reconnect with old friends while seeing some of the new spaces on-campus and learning about what Framingham State College is offering students today. 

Coming from distances as far away as California and as local as Framingham, Massachusetts, alumni spent the weekend attending a variety of events and activities. Some of the highlights included the Alumni Achievement Awards and Assembly, the Pub Social, Campus Tours and Open House as well as an All-Alumni Cocktail Hour and Dinner. If you are celebrating your Reunion next June –all classes ending with 4’s and 9’s, and want to be a part of Reunion planning, please contact the Office of College Advancement at 508-626-4561.

One Day Ticket Sale: Red Sox v. Baltimore Orioles at Fenway Park

The Office of College Advancement has secured bleacher tickets for the Red Sox v. Baltimore Orioles baseball game on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at 7:05 p.m.  Tickets are $32/ticket and are for the game only.  There will be one-day sale of these tickets on Friday, August 8, 2008, beginning at 10 a.m.; there is a ticket limitation of two tickets per alumnus.  Alumni can call 508-626-4561 or 508-626-4697 and will need to confirm class year and provide a current mailing address, phone number and e-mail.  All tickets will be mailed through the United States Postal Service with delivery confirmation.

A Day in the Berkshires

On Sunday, August 3, 2008, a full charter bus of alumni and friends of the College traveled to Lenox, Massachusetts for the annual Framingham State College alumni trip to Tanglewood.  “I really enjoyed socializing and making new acquaintances” shared Karen Wehler ’76.  After picnicking on the Tanglewood lawn, alumni and friends took their seats under the Shed to enjoy a performance of the Boston Symphony Orchestra with Yo-Yo Ma. “For me it was a perfect day and a wonderful way to get to Tanglewood – [it was] on my list of places to go,” stated Anne Tobin G’92. 

Club News
