Painting is a complex and vital art form that exists in a state of constant flux. It is a tradition that is both mired in its own history and capable of regularly evolving and redefining its purpose and place by blurring disciplinary boundaries between media. Students in this concentration will pursue a course of study that equally stresses traditional techniques and skills, as well as, more experimental approaches to articulate a unique and personal vision.
