If the minimum is not met the workshop will be cancelled and participants will be notified.

Additionally, we offer one-on-one trainings as well as departmental trainings.

Introduction to PowerPoint 2007
This workshop will show you how to create a professional looking presentation in PowerPoint 2007.  We will include tips on good design as well as exploring features such as background themes, pictures, clipart, and animations.

Beyond the Basics – PowerPoint 2007 – Illustrations and Media Clips
This workshop will expand upon the introductory course.  We will look at some new illustration features such as SmartArt and Photo Album.  We will also learn how to further enhance our presentations by using Sound and Video Clips.

Introduction to Excel 2007
This workshop will provide an overview of the new features of Excel 2007.  We will create a spreadsheet and learn about the new interface including where to find commands on the Tabs and Ribbon.  We will also learn how to save files in the current and previous versions of Excel.

Beyond the Basics – Excel 2007 – Functions & Pivot Tables
This course will examine some more advanced functions such as DATE, VLOOKUP, PMT, COUNT, COUNTIF, and IF, as well as learning how to create and use a PivotTable.

This workshop will provide an overview of the new features of Word 2007.  We will create a document and learn about the new interface including where to find commands on the Tabs and Ribbon.  We will also learn how to save files in the current and previous versions of Word.

Tuesday, August 5th

Beyond the Basics – Word 2007 – Table of Contents & Bibliographies
This workshop will show you how to generate a Table of Contents from your document using existing Styles or by creating your own Styles.  We will also demonstrate how to create citations by adding sources in your document, and automatically generate a Bibliography based on those sources.  Footnotes will also be included.

Introduction to Access 2007
This workshop will provide an overview of the new Access 2007 interface. We will use the new program to design and create tables, queries, forms and reports.  We will also learn how to use pre-existing templates found in Access 2007.

Thursday, August 14th

Beyond the Basics – Word 2007 – Track Changes
This workshop will cover the Track Changes feature of Word 2007.  Track Changes allows you to see changes made by someone who is editing your document, and then decide whether to accept or decline those changes.  We will then finalize the document.  Comments, comparing two versions of the same document, and Proofing tools will also be covered.
