The Biology Department has a variety of tools for students to assist them during their tenure at Framingham State University. First and foremost, all of the students have access to the faculty. Each faculty member acts a resource and advocate for our students. It is strongly recommended that students meet with their designated advisor at least twice during the academic year. Students are also encouraged to talk with particular faculty members who have experience and/or research interests in fields that students are curious about. In addition, the department has put together a "course plan" illustrating the recommended course load for students during their four years. This plan is designed to have students complete all of the core curriculum, while incorporating the specific courses in their given concentration. There are also other advising and planning tools that can be used by students, including CASA worksheets and a schedule of course offerings.
