In addition to offering the Biology major, the Biology Department participates in two interdisciplinary programs.

• Neuroscience Minor
  The Neuroscience minor is sponsored by both the Biology Department and the Psychology and Philosophy Department. It is designed for students who are interested in learning more about the nervous system and its regulation of behavior.
• Environmental Science Major
  The Environmental Science major is offered in conjunction with the Geography Department. This major is an interdisciplinary program that combines aspects of Biology, Chemistry, Geography, History and Political Science. Students who complete this program will be able to use a multidisciplinary approach to address environmental issues and be able to communicate effectively with both scientists and the general public.
