The Business and Information Technology program provides students with a background in business and information technology.
Businesses need workers who can evaluate, justify and implement effective use of information technology to meet long-term business goals. The ITB program provides students with concepts necessary for understanding the business context of information technology acquisition and implementation.
Of the 19 courses required for the major, 70% are business-oriented, and 30% are within computer science.
ITB students are prepared in the traditional pillars of business, including economics, accounting, marketing, management and finance. In addition, the program explores basic technology principles that underlie the use of information technology in business to attain operational efficiency, global reach and strategic advantage.
