Dawn Ross, Director -

Dawn Ross

Dawn was promoted to director in May 2014, after serving as acting director in 2012 and 2013. She has provided 12 years of exceptional services to the Framingham State community in a variety of roles. Her career services philosophy is that the office is at the epicenter of the university's mission to cultivate thoughtful and responsible citizens, to prepare students for a career, and to position students for successful lives.

Dawn has over 15 years’ experience in working in a variety of higher education roles and prior to joining the University, she proudly served in the U.S. Navy as an Ocean System Technician for 8 years and held several corporate management positions. Dawn graduated with her Master of Arts in Human Resources and Bachelor of Arts degrees from FSU.

A career services highlight from this past year included the management of the CHOICE internship initiative and turning this program into a successful and highly-rated campus and community-wide phenomena.  She looks forward to assisting all with their career service needs.

Jill Gardosik, Internship Coordinator -

Internship Coordinator, Jill Gardosik

Jill Gardosik joined Career Services & Employer Relations in August 2014.  She has been serving the Commonwealth since 2012 in the Department of Workforce Development.  Prior to joining DWD she worked as a Human Resources Generalist for Advent International, a leading global private equity firm located in Boston focused on mid-market structured leveraged buy-outs.  During her tenure at Advent, she supported 375 employees throughout 18 offices in 17 countries on 4 continents.  Jill earned a BA in Corporate Communications from Framingham State University, and a MS from Suffolk University in Adult and Organization Learning.  Additionally, Jill is a Certified Professional Resume Writer.

Nikki Curley, Operations Facilitator -

Nikki Curley

Nikki joined the Career Services Team in July 2013. She graduated from Framingham State in May 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. During her time at FSU she was very active in the campus community. She held positions in various offices on campus as well as served as the Student Union Activities Board President for two years. Additionally, Nikki was an intern with Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. Nikki is very excited to continue her time at FSU as the Operations Facilitator at Career Services. In this role, she supervises student workers, serves as an initial point of contact for various constituents, and implements events.

Sarah Falber, Career Counselor  -


Sarah Falber has been with Framingham State University since 2010. Having worked as an attorney for several years, she successfully underwent her own career self evaluation process and made the professional change to Career Counseling. She spends much of her time creating new relationships with employers and preparing for the numerous career events taking place throughout the academic school year. Her favorite part of her job is helping students with their resumes, cover letters, interview skills, networking opportunities and advising them with their general job search strategies. Sarah received her Law Degree from Boston College and her Bachelor's Degree from Amherst College.

Norma Herzlinger, Career Counselor  -

Norma Herzlinger has over fifteen years experience in career services at the college level. Prior to joining Framingham State in January 2014, she held positions as Assistant Director and Cooperative Education Coordinator at Merrimack College. Norma is  especially enthusiastic about helping students with all aspects of the job search, including resumes, cover letters, networking, and interviewing techniques. Her background also includes work as a product manager in the high technology industry,  She received an MBA from Boston University and a B.A. from Simmons College.

JoAnne Amann, Career Counselor -

Career Counselor, JoAnne Amann

JoAnne Amann has worked in career services in higher education since 2007. She joined Framingham State University in September 2014.  Prior to working in college settings, she worked for an international outplacement firm conducting job search workshops and providing individual counseling for professionals experiencing a job loss. JoAnne enjoys working with students on resumes, cover letters, networking strategies and demonstrating how to create a professional profile on LinkedIn. She graduated from Adelphi University with her undergraduate degree in Social Work and worked with several social service organizations before returning to school. She received her MEd with a concentration in Adult Education from Worcester State University.
