The Center for Academic Support and Advising provides support to education students taking the Massachusetts Teachers Exam for Licensure (MTEL).
We currently offer:
- Multi-session Communication Literacy Skills Test (CLST) workshops
- Multi-session General Curriculum Math substest workshops
- One-day Foundations of Reading workshop
All MTEL workshops are FREE to Framingham State students. Please click the links on the right for workshop dates, times, and registration information.
For students who need additional support beyond the workshop, a designated writing tutor will be available for individual appointments. The writing tutor will help students prepare for the Writing Subtest of the CLST. Students who need support passing the Reading Subtest of the CLST may also make appointments with the Reading Specialist available weekly at CASA. Additionally, education students are encouraged to attend CASA workshops for grammar and commas.
