The Center for Academic Support and Advising provides support to education students taking the Massachusetts Teachers Exam for Licensure (MTEL). Multi-session workshops designed to help students pass the Communication Literacy Skills Test (CLST) are offered each semester.
For students who need additional support beyond the workshop, a designated writing tutor will be available for individual appointments. The writing tutor will help students prepare for the Writing Subtest of the CLST. Additionally, education students are encouraged to attend CASA workshops for grammar and commas. Students who need support passing the Reading Subtest of the CLST may make appointments with the Reading Specialist available weekly at CASA.
