Past Proposals and Awards
Funding for research, travel, course release, and development grants began in AY2008-2009. At the end of the academic year recipients must submit a summary of their completed projects describing the project and the benefits derived from CELTSS funding. Two sample summaries submitted by recipients include those of Professors Lisa Eck and Professor Kristina Pongratz.
Total funding for the Fall 2008 term amounted to $20,828 for the following categories: $16,803 for Travel, $525.00 for Research and $5,000 in Course Release stipends. For the Spring 2009 term, the total funding was $69,884 for the following categories: $21,171 for Travel, $16,885 for Research, and $16,000 for Course Release stipends.
