Our Classroom Environment

We use a centers approach to our classroom organization. The children may make decisions about which centers they would like to visit each day. Reading and writing materials for the children to use are located throughout the classroom, as well. Throughout the year, we rotate the materials available in each area. The teachers and our early childhood education students work with individual children and with small groups at the centers and in other areas of the classroom. We also incorporate a theme or focus for our lessons and activities. Some of our past themes explored fairy tales, winter sports, animals, our families, the ocean, and transportation.
