The Department offers courses leading to a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with concentrations in Software Engineering and Information Systems, and a minor in Computer Science. The goal of these programs is to train graduates for successful careers in industry and to prepare students for graduate studies.
The department has now added a new full-time Cooperative education option that allows students to participate in two full-time 6 month co-ops. Students are encouraged to do cooperative work with local companies in the new full-time co-op program or if they prefer they can participate in a part-time internship during their regular academic semester for up to two course credits in a single semester. Students enhance their academic experience with hands-on training, enjoy real-world problem solving, and (normally) receive compensation in the process. Such experience is also beneficial in seeking post-graduate employment.
Advising for Fall 2013 courses now in progress. Please sign up for a meeting with your advisor on the sheets on your advisor's office door.
