Paul Welch, LICSW
Director
Paul has been at the Counseling Center since 1992, first as a graduate intern, then as a staff member, and now as the director. He is a 1993 graduate of Simmons Graduate School of Social Work, and has a special interest in family and couples therapy, substance problems, cross-cultural concerns, and GLBT issues.
 

Andrew J. Lipsky, LICSW
Staff Counselor
Andrew first joined the Counseling Center in 2002 as a graduate intern, and then as a staff member in 2004. He is a 2003 graduate of Boston College Graduate School of Social Work and has a special interest in working with athletes and students experiencing academic challenges.
 

Marie Margulies-Ellias, LICSW
Staff Counselor
Marie has been with the Counseling Center since 1990, first as the Director until 2002 and now as a staff counselor.  She is a 1976 graduate of Smith College School for Social Work. Her special interests include eating disorders, stress management, and family therapy.

Bonnie Lewis-Gentry
Administrative Assistant
Bonnie joined the Counseling Center staff in 2004 and brings to the office her many years of experience as an Office Manager/Administrative Assistant. Her favorite projects include designing the Breaking Through newsletter and the Counseling Center Web site.

Carrie is in her final year at Simmons College Graduate School of Social Work and will graduate in May.

Sally A. Blomgren, RN, MS, CS
Consulting Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist
Sally has been at the Counseling Center since March 2003. She received her Master of Science in Psychiatric Nursing from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1999. She offers psychiatric consultation and medication management for students who might need these services as part of their care at the Counseling Center.

Jeffrey Robbins Goldbarg, M.D.
Consulting Psychiatrist
Dr. Goldbarg has been at the Counseling Center since 1991. He is a 1974 graduate of Boston University’s School of Medicine. He offers psychiatric consultation and medication management for students who might need these services as part of their care at the Counseling Center. He maintains a private practice locally with a specialty in Adult and Adolescent Psychiatry.
