Faculty Recruitment

The Graduate Certificate in Nursing Education is a twelve-credit program consisting of three courses. The first two courses are taught in the fall with the third and final course held in the spring.

Faculty requirements
Applicants to teach in the program must have a master's degree in Nursing or related field, with a doctorate preferred; five years of teaching experience; recommendation of Dean/Director required. Additional requirements are noted below:

  • NURE 941 Curriculum Design and Evaluation (Fall - Hybrid)
    Curriculum development experience required; accreditation experience preferred.


  • NURE 951 Course Development and Implementation (Fall - Hybrid)


  • NURE 981 Advanced Teaching Methods (Spring)
    The practicum coordinator/seminar leader should be a faculty member who has taught one of the above courses in the Fall.
