Student Information
The Graduate Certificate in Nursing Education is a three-course program designed to prepare nurse educators for academic and practice settings. Advanced practice nurses with a Masters Degree in Nursing or nurses planning to complete a Masters Degree in Nursing will acquire the knowledge and skills of a beginning educator. RNs with a BSN may teach nursing according to the Board of Registration in Nursing's waiver policies.

941 Nurse Educator: Curriculum Design and Evaluation (Fall)
           (Hybrid course with both an online and classroom component.
           The on campus meetings will be
every
other Saturday, 9:00am-12:30pm on:
           9/8, 9/22, 10/6, 10/20, 11/3, 11/17, 12/1 & 12/15.)

951 Nurse Educator: Course Development and Implementation (Fall)
           (Hybrid course with both an online and classroom component.
           The on campus meetings will be

           9/8, 9/22, 10/6, 10/20, 11/3, 11/17, 12/1 & 12/15.)
- NURE981 Nurse Educator: Practicum (Spring)
- Component 1: experience teaching in clinical, classroom and laboratory settings with a mentor/preceptor 2-3 hours per week. Days and hours are flexible.
- Component 2: seminar for 2 hours every other week with the seminar leader. Days and hours are determined by students and faculty.
The tuition for each four-credit course for the academic year 2007-2008 is approximately $799.
