The Art Doyle Road Race and Walk

To Benefit the Arthur M. Doyle Scholarship Fund

Dr. Arthur M. Doyle, gifted educator, visionary academic leader and talented athlete, died tragically in an automobile accident on August 15, 2002.  Dr. Doyle served Framingham State College with distinction for 34 years, first as an esteemed faculty member in the Physics department and later in several administrative roles, including Vice President of Academic Affairs.  In his free time, he competed in hundreds of road races throughout New England, including 16 Boston Marathons.

The Arthur M. Doyle Scholarship Fund honors the legacy of this extraordinary teacher, administrator and runner who profoundly touched the lives of all who knew him with his remarkable intelligence, his endless humor and fervent passion for life.
