Economics and Business Administration
The Department of Economics and Business Administration offers several programs for students to study the fields of accounting, business administration, economics, management and marketing.
Students can earn one of three undergraduate degrees:
- Bachelor of Arts in Economics
- Bachelor of Science in Business
- Bachelor of Science in Business and Information Technology
Graduates with undergraduate degrees are prepared for admission to careers in industry as well as graduate programs in their fields.
Students pursuing programs in other disciplines can pursue a minor in business or in economics.
The department also offers graduate and certificate programs:

- Master of Arts in Human Resource Management
- Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management

Dr. Sandra Rahman and Laura Reed '12, a business major, are presenting a paper at the Woman as Global Leaders Conference in Abu Dhabi, UAE March 13-15, 2012. The conference is hosted by Zayed University and draws women from around the world.
Prof. Michael Enz presented a paper with Jonathan Murphy (a former student from FSU), titled "Major League Baseball Free Agent Market: Asymmetric Information and the Market for Lemons" at the 19th Annual American Society of Business and Behavioral Sciences Conference in Las Vegas, NV February 23 - 25.
The Brazilian Business Club has organized under the leadership of Germano Lima '12, a business major, president. Other members are Vivicius de Souza, Vice President, Sandro Henrique, Treasurer, and Rodrigo Scaldaferri, Marketing Leader.
The Marketing Club President, Sara White '13, business major, is leading a campus wide survey to determine which trip the club will organize for Spring Break 2013. The choices are (1) Greece, (2) Italy and Spain, (3) Germany and Switzerland or (4) Costa Rica. Where do you want to go?
