In September 2009, Framingham State University began to participate in a single-stream recycling campaign. All empty plastic bottles and cans can be put into the same blue bins as all assorted paper and cardboard items.
Get a single stream recycling flyer. Glass is NOT recyclable at this time.
In September, 4.46 tons of recycled materials were sent to the Charlestown, MA recycling facility. This is an increase of approximately 1 ton per month before single stream recycling.
