Framingham State College offers
an approved program that leads to the Initial license as English as a
Second Language (PreK-6 or 5-12). The approved program includes the
M.Ed.

the
Practicum experience. All applicants seeking their first Initial
license must complete the entire approved program to be eligible for
the license. Please select the option that best matches your license
goal(s):

|
I do not hold a Massachusetts
license or I hold a Preliminary license or I hold another license at
the Initial level. I
want to obtain my Initial license in ESL.

|
 |
I already hold a license
at the Professional level. I want to ADD the ESL (PreK-6 or 5-12)
license at the Professional level. |
|
NOTE: If you already hold an
Initial or Professional license, you may add the ESL license without
completing the practicum. If you choose this option, you must apply
directly to the Massachusetts Department of Education, and the College
cannot endorse your application for the license. We encourage all
candidates to complete the entire approved program, which includes the
practicum.
