EXPERIENCE
1997 – present:      Framingham State College, Nursing Department,  Associate professor. Teaching responsibilities: 54.460 Nursing Leadership, 54.440 Nursing Research, and 54.325 Nursing Informatics;  Responsible for planning all course content and for clinical planning and supervision. Includes the introduction of student computer laboratory requirements in all courses.  These requirements include the use of the internet, email, spreadsheets, word processing, and the production of multimedia visual aids for use in formal oral presentations.  Classes in all courses are presented to students through the use of fully multimedia PowerPoint presentations and an LCD projector.
1995 - 1996:           Fitchburg State College, Department of Nursing, part-time faculty member.  Teaching responsibilities: Lecture content: maternal/newborn; clinical supervision of community health promotion activities; laboratory supervision of basic skills practice and physical assessment skills practice
1989 - 1995:          Fitchburg State College, Department of Nursing, full-time faculty member.  Teaching responsibilities involved students in a four -year program leading to Bachelor of Science degree in nursing.   Clinical areas of expertise: In-hospital obstetrics/newborn nursing experiences, community-based maternity clinical nursing experiences, community health promotion clinical nursing experiences, and medical-surgical nursing clinical skills. Responsible for lecture content in obstetrics/newborn nursing and for clinical supervision in that area as well as in basic medical-surgical clinical nursing skills.  Planned and implemented clinical nursing experiences for students in community health promotion and clinical laboratory experiences in basic medical-surgical nursing skills.  Also planned and implemented laboratory practice in physical assessment skills.
1973 - 1989:          Fitchburg State College, Department of Nursing, part-time clinical faculty member.  Responsible for in-hospital clinical experiences in obstetrics/newborn nursing, as well as implementation of clinical laboratory experience in basic medical-surgical nursing skills.  Responsible for clinical conferences, seminars, evaluations, research papers, term papers.
