The Office of Orientation and First Year Programs would like to congratulate new students on their decision to attend Framingham State University. The Orientation Program provides an introduction to student life at the University, and helps students achieve a smooth academic transition by providing careful advisement on course and program selection prior to registration. The Orientation Program is specifically designed to meet the needs of new students. Orientation is MANDATORY for all Day Division students entering Framingham State University.
STUDENTS WHO DO NOT ATTEND ORIENTATION WILL NEED TO REGISTER FOR CLASSES DURING THE "ADD/DROP PERIOD" THAT BEGINS ON THE FIRST DAY OF CLASSES IN THE FALL.
At Orientation new students will ...
- Register for classes and receive a copy of their course schedules.
- Meet faculty advisors from their academic departments.
- Learn about courses, majors, and how to build a course schedule.
- Be introduced to campus computing and learn about the
- LAPTOP PROGRAM FOR NEW STUDENTS.
- Meet current student leaders and other new students.
- Learn about campus life and available support resources for students.
- Become familiar with the Framingham State College campus and tour FSU's state-of-the art Athletic Facility
