Our Undergraduate, Graduate and Professional Development Programs

Undergraduates: If you're just getting started, choose from one of three programs:

  • Nutrition and Dietetics Concentration - Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics didactic courses with internship to follow for students interested in becoming a registered dietitian
  • Coordinated Program in Dietetics - Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics didactic courses coordinated with supervised practice for students interested in becoming a registered dietitian
  • Applied Nutrition - Nutrition major for students who do not plan to become a registered dietitian

Graduate Programs: If you've already earned your bachelor's degree and are interested in a master's degree, we offer several options:

The FSU Coordinated Program in Dietetics has a 92% first time pass rate on the national Registration Examination for Dietitians. The national first time pass rate for Coordinated Programs is 82%. FSU students consistently score above the national average on this test!
On February 16, seven Coordinated Program students hosted the 7th annual Massachusetts Dietetic Association meeting Medical Nutrition Therapy FYI. Topics included Antioxidants in the treatment of cancer; Prebiotics, probiotics, and synbiotics in the treatment of Inflammatory Bowel Disease; Omega-3s in the treatment of Alzheimer’s Disease, joint inflammation/arthritis, and depression and bipolar disorder; Cranberry juice for treatment of urinary tract disorders; and, Ketogenic diets and epilepsy. Research presented was originally developed for the Seminar in Clinical Nutrition course during the Fall, 2011 semester. Attendees received two hours of continuing education credits and had an opportunity to network prior to the presentations.
Molly McArthur, Kristen Merlo, Heather Shastany, and Meaghan O’Dea, students in the Coordinated Program in Dietetics, will present posters at the March 23rd Massachusetts Dietetic Association Annual Nutrition Convention and Exposition to be held at the Sheraton in Framingham. Research presented was originally developed for the Seminar in Clinical Nutrition course during the Fall, 2011 semester.
