JULY 2014: Spend Twelve Days in Central Europe!
The Geography Department and the Framingham State University Center for Global Education are arranging travel study to central Europe for students and faculty from July 10-21. This travel adventure will include museum visits, walking tours, and meetings with local experts, with plenty of time for personal explorations and discovery! Our preliminary itinerary includes three exciting cities:
- Berlin, the city where East meets West, is a new center of political power and social change in the EU.
- Dresden offers special charms and secrets. Once known for the terrible retaliatory fire-bombing of 1945, it is now experiencing a renaissance as a capital of industry and innovation.
- Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, is perhaps the most storied city in Europe. See history unfold as you explore medieval castles, walk in the footsteps of the Prague Spring, and celebrate the Velvet Revolution and the end of Communist rule.
The price for the trip (subject to change) will be $3499 (cash/check) or $3549 (credit card)
per person/double occupancy (plus insurance, taxes, airline fuel charges, etc.). All teacher participants are eligible for a stipend from the Center for Global Education.
$500 DEPOSIT DUE: 15 MARCH 2014
