Confidentiality

The Student Health Service staff maintains confidentiality of all private communications in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (to read the entire Notice of Privacy Practices, click here).

In accordance with HIPPA mandates, we are not allowed to release information to anyone including the student's immediate family without the student's prior approval.  And if you need your Health Record's sent to another facility, you first need to sign a Records Release form available at Health Services.
