Off-Campus Access to Library Resources
Login Information
Whittemore Library provides access to numerous online databases for all its students and faculty. Off-campus access requires that you login before being able to search the databases. Once you login, you will be able to access all the online databases without having to enter a library barcode number or a username/password. There are a few exceptions and those will be clearly noted.

When prompted, please login using your Framingham State College Blackboard account.

When you are finished searching the library databases and using Blackboard, please go to http://framingham.blackboard.com and logout of Blackboard.
Problems
If you experience a problem logging into the library databases through Blackboard or if you do not know your Blackboard username and password, please contact Blackboard Support at 1-866-361-8970 (toll free support line). Assistance is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Username and Password for First Time Login to Blackboard
To login to the library databases from off-campus, you must supply a valid Blackboard username and password. If you are new to Framingham State College or have never logged into Blackboard, below is information on determining your username and password.
Students
Your Blackboard username is your first initial and last name followed by a sequence number if necessary. This is the same username that you use for myFramingham and e-mail.
Example: If your name is John Smith, then your username would be jsmith. If there is more than one person with the same first initial and last name combination then the system will automatically generate a number after your last name: jsmith1.
Your Blackboard default password is either your month of birth plus your day of birth plus your student id number (current students who have taken an FSC course prior to summer 08) or your birth date, using your 2 digit month of birth + your day of birth + your year of birth (new students who are taking classes at FSC starting with summer 08).
Examples: If you have taken an FSC course prior to summer 08, then your default password would be 0804pg34 (with a birthday of August 4th and an id number of PG34).
If you are a new student who is taking classes at FSC starting with summer 08, then your default password would be 080472 (with a birthday of August 4, 1972).
Faculty/Staff
Your Blackboard username is your first initial and last name followed by a sequence number if necessary. This is the same username that you use for myFramingham and e-mail.
For faculty and staff who started working at the college prior to March 3, 2008, your Blackboard default password is a randomly generated eight character password. For faculty and staff who started working at the college after March 3, 2008, your Blackboard default password is your birth date, using your 2 digit month of birth + your day of birth + your year of birth.
