The Information Technology Services (ITS) department is comprised of four areas:
- Academic Technology and Distance Education
- User Services
- Administrative and Student Information Systems
- Network Services
Academic Technology and Distance Education (ATDE) works closely with Faculty, Librarians and Staff within the division of Enrollment Management, Student Development and Graduate and Continuing Education to integrate academic technology throughout the curriculum. This includes providing consultative support, training, documentation and ongoing assistance.
User Services provides all Students, Faculty and Staff with technical support in person, online or over the telephone. This includes responsibility for the laptop program, provisioning of user accounts, Help Desk assistance, support for technology enhanced classrooms, and the management of the Student Help Center located in Hemenway Hall.
Administrative and Student Information Systems is responsible for the implementation, modification and maintenance of the integrated administrative and student information system. This includes support for self-service applications rendered through the myFramingham portal (e.g. Web registration).
Network Services manages the performance, reliability and security of the campus-wide technology infrastructure and data center operations. This includes ensuring the adequate capacity and overall integrity of the shared computing and communications systems that are relied on to access the Internet and all other information systems made available by the University.
