Program Options

The management concentration is structured to equip mid-level managers and business professionals for leadership and management roles. Students learn to link theory with practice, and to recognize the ethical, legal, and multi-disciplinary demands of a business environment that is increasingly global, technology-oriented, and diverse.

There are two tracks to complete the FSU MBA with a concentration in Management degree.

Blended Hybrid Track

In this option, students take classes in a blended mix of online and in class face-to-face learning. This gives the flexibility of scheduling that our working professional students demand, but also giving the highly valuable experience of being in the classroom with their peers and our faculty. This hybrid approach delivers the best of both world from an educational and networking experience. Classroom sessions are scheduled in the evening and courses typically run over a 15-week timeline during the spring, summer and fall semesters. Students can opt to be full-time with three courses per semester, or part-time, taking one or two courses per semester.

Typical times to complete the MBA in the blended track are as follows:

  • Full time (three courses per semester) - 16 months
  • Part time (two courses per semester) - 24 months
  • Part time (one course per semester) - 48 months

Online-Only Track

In this option, students who wish to complete the MBA 100% online will do so in an accelerate timeline. Students will take two (2) sequential classes per semester year-round. The fall and spring semesters are 15 week semesters (8-week courses), while the summer semester is 12 weeks (5-6 week courses) long and the content and workload is equivalent to the traditional semester long course, so students should plan for an intensive and accelerated experience.

Typical time to complete the online only MBA is 24 months.

Students admitted to the blended program will not be permitted to switch to the online-only track once they have matriculated into the program. The reverse is also true for the online-only track.

"My grandfather started a transportation business in the 1920s. When I was a child, I watched my father create daily schedules, bus routes, and annual budgets and financial needs for fuel and assets on a single piece paper. It was an art knowing how many of the 100 vehicles and drivers were available, stops and precise pick-up times, time between stops, vehicle capacity, weather conditions, cost, etc., all written using a series of codes."
