The purpose of the Mentorship Events is to promote awareness of the program and provide students with opportunities to meet with mentors on campus. Specific events are organized to introduce networking, improve interview techniques and resume building skills. The events are also designed to establish a relationship between mentors and students, where mentors provide advice that will help students determine a specific career path.
Event Types:
Student meeting: Students can attend meetings on selected Wednesdays from 1:30 - 2:20 pm to learn about netowrking, career planning and the job search. Topics include writing a resume, interviewing, seeking an internship.
Speed Networking: The purpose is for students to meet mentors for a few minutes each so that they can meet multiple mentors in a single setting in order to make the best possible match. The limit is 7 minutes for each conversation.

6-8 industry professionals, including recent graduates, will discuss strategies for getting hired in a soft job market. The event is open to all students who are interested. Contact Career Services.
