A graduate degree can be a vital tool for separating oneself from the field in an increasingly competitive job market. Framingham State’s Division of Graduate and Continuing Education (DGCE) offers affordable and flexible graduate degree programs in a wide variety of subjects.New programs launched within the past year include a Master of Education degree in Educational Technology, which can be taken entirely online and emphasizes the integration of educational technology in instruction and training across learning environments. The program is designed for educators working in an instructional capacity.
DGCE also recently launched a Master of Education Degree in Nutrition Education. The program is offered entirely online and can be tailored for students interested in becoming School Nutrition Specialists or current health educators interested in becoming Nutrition Education Specialists.
Another new DGCE Program is a master’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). The program is designed for teachers in grades 1-6 who want to increase their knowledge and comfort with science, technology, engineering, and math content, as well as the pedagogical skills necessary to create and support a 21st century inquiry learning environment. This hybrid course involves both online and in-person courses.
Two new certificate programs within DGCE include The Teaching of English as a Second Language, which is intended for mainstream teachers whose classrooms include students with limited language skills, and a post-baccalaureate certificate in Business Administration designed for college graduates who wish to develop needed business skills and knowledge in order to better compete in today's challenging business environment.
