Framingham State University ranks in the top tier of Best Regional Universities in the North, according to U.S. News and World Report Best Colleges, 2011 Edition. The rankings are based on such factors as average freshman retention rate, average graduation rate, the percentage of classes with 20 or fewer students, and the student to faculty ratio. U.S. News also considers the SAT/ACT percentiles of new first-time, first-year students, the admissions acceptance rate, and the average alumni giving rate.
