NSTA Information:
The National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) was formed in 1944 and held its first annual national conference in Pittsburgh in 1953. The theme for NSTA's 2008 area conference in Charlotte is “Charlotte's Science Web.” Three strands will be highlighted:
- Biotechnology as an Economic Engine
- Fearlessly Teaching Physical Science in the Elementary Classroom
- Assessment for Understanding
Requirements:
Framingham State College is pleased to offer one (1) graduate credit to conference attendees who complete the following requirements:
Grades will be available about January 15, 2009, and can be accessed online. Instructions on how to access grades online will be sent to all participants seeking credit. The grading will be Pass/Fail. E-mail any questions regarding Framingham State College graduate credit to Nancy Proulx at nsta@frc.mass.edu or call 508-626-4034.
*Each conference attendee has the option to attend a variety of presentations. At the conclusion of each presentation, attendees complete an evaluation form and deposit it in an evaluation box located in the meeting facility. Approximately five weeks after the last day of the conference, attendees are able to access their conference transcripts, which document their session attendance, by visiting the NSTA website.
