Registered Dietitian (RD)-Programs for Seniors

Job Description:
Sixteen hours per week position; may be scheduled as flexible hours based on the needs of our congregate meal sites for nutrition education and for menu planning and analysis.  Occasional meeting attendance on the local, city and state level required.  The RD participates in quality assurance for our Title 3C programs which includes the Meals on Wheels program, operation of 31 congregate meal sites, and the onsite commissary kitchen.
Kit Clark Senior Services has dietetic intern rotation agreements with local colleges.  We are looking for an individual who will enjoy working with students.
Six hours per week are required in a set schedule by arrangement.  This schedule is required as a part of our Fit 4 Life program, a nutrition and exercise program for multicultural seniors.  The role of the RD here is both individual counseling as well as group education.

Position Announcement:  Dietetics Internship Director, School of Human and Consumer Sciences, Ohio University
EFFECTIVE DATE:  January 1, 2009
RESPONSIBILITIES:  Responsible for creation, in consultation with faculty, and administration of Ohio University's new Dietetic Internship Program, which will be integrated into the existing Food and Nutrition Graduate Program offered by the School of Human and Consumer Sciences.  The Dietetic Internship Director will be responsible for facilitating development of the program and curriculum (in consultation with faculty), establishing partnerships for the placement of students doing dietetic internships, and supervising clinical, community, and foodservice rotations.  Travel required. Teach courses as needed.  Advise students enrolled in the dietetic internship.  Maintain R.D., L.D. credentials.  Participate in School committees and professional organizations as appropriate.  The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and organizational abilities.  We seek a candidate who is committed to working with students and colleagues from diverse populations.

 QUALIFICATIONS:  Masters Degree in Dietetics or related field, R.D., L.D. required.  Three-five years clinical/administrative experience required. Prior experience directing dietetics internships preferred.  Experience with CADE accreditation preferred.
