Framingham State College Alumni, Student to Receive
Prestigious Filmmaking Award
Previous winners include Frederick Wiseman, Barbara Kopple,
Charles Guggenheim, and Ken Burns
(Framingham, MA) -- Four Framingham State College students
will receive the CINE Golden Eagle trophy for their documentary, "MyDocumentary:
A Look Into MySpace," Wednesday, May 9, at 4:30 PM.
Michael Kelly, Joseph Mauro, and Katherine Silva, all class of
2006, and Amanda Washer, a senior, wrote and produced the documentary, which
describes the world of MySpace.
The CINE Golden Eagle award is recognized internationally as a
symbol of the highest production standards in filmmaking and videography. Awards
are presented in categories such as professional news, professional nonfiction,
and student.
The documentary will be screened after the presentation of the
award.
