Clarification of Inventory Policies
Pertaining to "Equipment Loans"
 

It has not been, nor will it be in the future, the policy of the Property Control Department to "loan" equipment of any type to any group outside of the employ of the college. Individual employees are (with express permission from their Department Heads) allowed to assume property through the Property Loan Program offered here at the college.

The Department of Procurement and General Services (DPGS) in Boston has issued regulations specifically dealing with this and other issues. Please refer to "State Procurements and Administrative Functions - 802 CMR" (a copy is available in the Property Office) for specific information regarding these rules and regulations.

The State Surplus Property Coordinator is responsible for the decision making process in regards to the transfer, sale, and disposal of all state property. Regulations state, that it is forbidden to donate or in any other way relinquish ownership of state property, surplus or otherwise.
