When
can I register for courses for the upcoming semester?
Day Division students will receive information about the date and time
that web registration begins for them based on their class
determination. Registration is available in the following order:
Honors students, Seniors, Juniors, Sophomores, and Freshmen. Keep
an eye on your myFramingham messages for information about when you can
register!
Can I register for five (5) or more courses during my scheduled
registration time?
All students may
register for a maximum of four (4) course credits at the time of
registration (note: the non-credit math course is considered a course
credit for this purpose). A student may however register for a
non-credit Music or Consumer Science course as a fifth course. A
Fifth Course Approval Form is required to take five credit-bearing
courses in a semester.
Can I
enroll in courses that indicate "Permission" needed?
Yes, but you will need
written approval from either the course instructor or the department
chair. Registration Override Forms are available on myFramingham.
Select the "Academic Information" tab, and under the "Registration
Information" tab, you will see the pdf file under Registration Help.
How many courses do I need to register for in order to be full-time?
Three (3) courses is the minimum number of course credits needed in
order to be considered full-time. The average course credit load is
four (4) per semester. It is not a problem if you are registered for
less than three course credits prior to the start of the next semester as
long as you "Add" into the third (or fourth) course credit before the end
of the Course Add/Drop period.
If I drop below full-time before the end of the Course Add/Drop period,
will I get a refund?
Yes, you will receive a
refund if you are only registered for one (1) or two (2) courses by the
end of the sixth academic day. If you withdraw ("W") from a course during the Course
Withdrawal period, your status is not changed and you are not eligible for
any type of refund.
