Degree Application
All students who expect to receive their baccalaureate degree from Framingham State College are required to complete a Notice for Candidacy for Graduation. The College has four graduation dates. The form is available on line or in the Office of the Registrar and must be submitted as follows:

• September 1st for December graduation
• October 1st for January graduation
• February 1st for May graduation
• May 1st for August graduation

No student's name may appear on the graduation list unless all financial debts to the College have been settled. Conferral of a degree occurs only when the Registrar finalizes the student's academic record and confirms that all degree requirements have been met.

Commencement Ceremony
Beginning with the Winter 2011 and Spring 2011 Commencement Ceremonies, all students must complete all degree requirements in order to participate in Commencement.

Effective for the May 2011 Graduation Date:  Completion of a Baccalaureate Degree for May 2011 at Framingham State College requires that all students achieve a minimum 2.00 quality point average in their major requirements, including major-related courses taken outside of the home department in fulfillment of major requirements as well as College residency requirements.
