Preparing for the
Accuplacer
Mathematics Test:
Tips
To Help You Do Your Best
Students
should review the fundamentals of algebra covered in high
school courses prior to taking the Accuplacer Mathematics
test. On this page we provide many sample questions and
answers for the Elementary Algebra test and the College Level
Mathematics test.
The
initial assessment measure is the Accuplacer Elementary
Algebra Test. If your score on this test is satisfactory, you
will be able to take any first-year level (100 level)
mathematics course. If you do not receive a satisfactory score
on the Elementary Algebra Test, you will not be allowed to
register for a credit-bearing mathematics course in your first
semester at Framingham State. However, if you do very well on
the Elementary Algebra Test, you will also take the College
Level Mathematics test, which will determine whether or not
you can proceed to a sophomore level (200 level) course, such
as precalculus or calculus.
