Campus Life

Framingham State College students are constantly "on the go."  With over 50 clubs andTowers Lounge organizations, there are all kinds of ways to get involved in FSC’s very active campus life.  Involvement in clubs and organizations will provide you with opportunities for demonstrating your leadership abilities and for developing friendships. Whether you are interested in drama, music, or student government, you will find other students who share your interests for an exciting and active life outside of the classroom.

In addition to the many sport and club activities which take place on campus, the College hosts a variety of special events throughout the year.  Students are encouraged to take advantage of the many films, coffeehouses, seminars, concerts, exhibits and other activities offered throughout the year.  Most student clubs and organizations are housed in the D. Justin McCarthy College Center.  The College Center is the hub for campus activities and houses offices for Student Services, the Mazmanian Art Gallery, student organizations, dining facilities, a snack bar, a game room with billiards, outdoor recreation equipment, printing services for students, music practice and listening rooms, a television room, a pub, study areas, radio station WDJM FM 91.3 and the student newspaper, The Gatepost.

Living on Campus

Residence Hall RoomFramingham State College is a residential campus.  Within our six residence halls are study rooms, computer labs, lounges, kitchen facilities, laundry facilities, TVs and VCRs.  Each residence hall room is linked to the main computer network, providing access to the Internet, including the World Wide Web.  All residence hall rooms have access to cable TV as well as to off-air and local origination programming.  The system includes a video bulletin board carrying campus-wide announcements and messages.

Reisdent CafeteriaFramingham State College’s main dining facility, operated by Sodexho, is housed in the College Center.  Sodexho offers students a "Continuous Dining Option" which allows students greater flexibility with their meal plans. You can choose from several hot entrees, including a vegetarian entree, a salad bar, a cereal bar, and a deli selection.  For dessert, you may decide to "create your own sundae" at our ice cream/frozen yogurt bar or sample one of the many freshly baked pastries. The Snack Bar is open for meals-on-the-run, in between meal snacks or for a leisurely cup of coffee with a friend.
