Join a FSU faculty member on an academic experience abroad! Currently the following programs are planned. Some of these may be taken for credit for the additional cost of the course credit, registration is through DGCE.

Barcelona - FSU's Geography Department is offering a Spring Break trip to Barcelona, Spain! Join Professor Judith Otto on an affordable journey to Spain from March 14 - 21. The total costs of $1,779 includes round trip flights to/from Barcelona, Spain, 8-day, 6-night accomodations, airport transfers and breakfast every morning! The trip includes half-day tour and a visit to the Picasso Museum. There are optional day trips to Montserrat and Costa Brava! A $300 deposit is due by October 21, 2013. London and Paris - From May 19 - 27, FSU students and Faculty members will be traveling to London and Paris! For the total costs of $3,246, students will receive round-trip airfare, all transportation, sightseeing tours and site visits, all hotels with private bathroom, breakfast and dinner daily, and a full-time multi-lingual tour director. All-inclusive insurance is available. The trip will begin in London with four days to explore and then head to Paris for four days as well. Guatemala - Service Learning Experience a new culture and help a family by volunteering in Guatemala! Over spring break, Professor Pamela Ludemann of the Psychology department will be leading students to Antigua, which is in the highland regions of Guatemala, on various volunteering endevours. Such volunteer opportunities as helping at an infant hospital, elementary schools, women's rights, home and water system construction or men's homeless shelter will be available for the service learning experience. Turkey - Join Dr. Yaser Najjar, Dean of Graduate Studies, from May 19 - June 1st for a "Trip to the Best of Turkey Including the European and the Asian Sides." For $2,950, students, faculty, staff and friends are welcome to explore Turkey, from Istanbul to Cappadocia, and truly identify with Turkish customs and ways of life. If students are interested in gaining course credit, one can register for the summer course "Non Western Regional Geography: Field Study of Turkey." Please Contact Dr. Najjar immediately if you are interested! You must pay a depost of $950 by February 15th and the full amount by March 10th. For 14 days/12 nights, the unique tour of Turkey is an affordable and invaluable faculty led trip calling your name!
Italy - Slow Food Tour Study the Slow Food Movement for 12 days in Italy! Visit Verona, Venice, Florence and more! Learn how cheese, pasta, olive oil and wine are made! Meet people involved in the Slow Food movement in Italy. From May 23 - June 3, join Professor Janet Schwartz on the journey to Italy. Total costs of $3,900 includes roundtrip airfare, housing, excursions, medical insurance, some meals, cell phone rental, and more! On Monday, December 6th at 1:30 pm in Hemenway Hall, room 101a will be an informational meeting. You may enroll in NUTR 350 Study Tour or NUTR 950 Study Tour for credit, or just join us in our exploration of Italian cuisine!
Berlin, Dresden, Prague - Join us for 12 days seeing the BEST of central Europe! We will explore from Berlin to Dresden to Prague. Our travel adventure will combine museum visits, walking tours, and meetings with local experts, with plenty of time for personal explorations and discovery! The trip will begin on July 10th through July 21st this Summer 2014. The total cost of the trip is $3,499.
