Hemenway Hall houses classrooms and laboratories for the Family and Consumer Sciences, Mathematics, Nursing, Biology, Chemistry and Food Science, Geography, Physics and Earth Science, and Psychology departments. Hemenway Hall, completed in 1962, is named for Mary Hemenway, Boston philanthropist and pioneer in teaching household arts who was largely responsible for the development of the Family and Consumer Sciences department of the College.
