A Unified Digital Campus - The FSC Initiative
The Framingham State College Board of Trustees recently approved the necessary funding for a new administrative and student information system. The College implemented the current system (a.k.a. Ingres) in 1990. Even though the current system has served the College well over the past 16 years, it is now time to transition to a new system that will better serve our needs for the future. After an exhaustive search the College has chosen SunGard Higher Education’s Banner Software.
This major initiative includes the implementation of a suite of products:
Banner Student, Banner Finance and Banner Financial Aid - to replace our existing SIS student administration software.

Luminis - customized, service-oriented online environment that will meet the needs of FSC student, faculty and staff

Operational Data Store (ODS) - Ancillary database system to enable uncomplicated and timely reporting without impacting administrative system performance.

Workflow - Software to facilitate and streamline student administration business processes.
The combination of these products will assume the Framingham State College identity, as it is our intent that these products should appear to be seamless, and will work collaboratively.
This site will serve as a source of communication to the College community as we embark on this 3 year implementation of a ‘Unified Digital Campus’.
