Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change
Established by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP), the mission of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change is to assess scientific, technical and socio- economic information relevant for the understanding of climate change, its potential impacts and options for adaptation and mitigation.

United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change
Information from the United Nations on the topic of climate change.

Stern Report and Information from the BBC
A 700-page report released on October  30, 2006 by economist Sir Nicholas Stern for the British government, which discusses the effect of climate change and global warming on the world economy.

Natural Resources Defense Council - Global Warming
News and issue highlights as well as links and suggestions on how to deal with the issues raised by global warming and climate change.

Pew Center on Global Climate Change
The Pew Center on Global Climate Change brings together business leaders, policy makers, scientists, and other experts to bring a new approach to a complex and often controversial issue.

Cato Institute
A libertarian think tank that supports efforts to relax environmental regulations, seen as costly and counterproductive. Select "Research Areas", "Energy and Environment " and "Global Warming".

The Environment:

United States Environmental Protection Agency
The EPA Works to set national standards. It develops and enforces regulations and implements environmental laws passed by the U.S. Congress. 

National Service Center for Environmental Publications (NSCEP)
Provides full-text access to EPA Publications.


Environmental Performance Index
Ranks 149 countries on 25 indicators across six categories: Environmental Health, Air Pollution,Water Resources, Biodiversity and habitat, Productive Natural resources, and Climate Change.

An authoritative source of information on the activities of all 3 branches of the U.S. government. Reports on the activity of the U.S. Congress every week. Gives a complete wrap-up of the previous week's news, including laws passed, the status of bills in play, behind-the-scenes maneuvering, committee and floor activity, and debates.

Use the Full Text Electronic Journal Finder to find journals indexed within the full-text FSC Library databases, particularly if you know a journal's name and need to know where it can be found.

Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ)
Directory of open access scientific and scholarly journals.  A collection of over 100 journals relating to the environmental sciences can be retrieved.
