To find out if the library carries a print version of a journal, please check out the periodical titles list or check the red binders located throughout the library.
If the journal is not located in FSC’s Whittemore Library or in the Minuteman Network, and you would like to find it in another Boston area academic library, you can go to First Search, World Catalog (World Cat) to see where this is located.
In World Cat click on “advanced search.” Limit type to “serial publication” (journal). You may do a title search for the journal or search the ISSN # (official journal title number). Then you can click on “libraries that own the item.” All the Massachusetts libraries will be listed first. For journals, you need to be careful of the listings of the volumes and dates held. If these are not specified, you might want to call the library and check before you go there. Most academic libraries in Massachusetts will let you in to photocopy and look at their journals in-house (Bring your school ID and be serious and polite.) |
